Some things you should never do to customers include pointing, saying “no”, oversharing, saying “no problem”, showing frustration publicly, delivering bad news online, or responding with five words or less. Instead you should show people where to go, focus on what you can do, share only what is appropriate, say “certainly, my pleasure”, discuss issues privately, and respond thoroughly in a short paragraph. You have an opportunity to surprise a customer with how well you handle their complaints!

Based on positive experiences customers consistently receive from you, your customers will have no idea what your competition charges! We compete in experience wars, not price wars. When it comes to customer service, compete for the best. There’s not much competition and most companies have average or less than average customer service.
